School Meals and SwiftKitchen

Our school meals provide children with a varied choice of nutritious lunches each day. Meals are selected and managed through SwiftKitchen.

Free school meals

All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to Universal Infant Free School Meals.

Some older pupils, and some children already receiving Universal Infant Free School Meals, may also qualify for benefits-related Free School Meals. Registering where eligible also brings additional Pupil Premium funding into school.

Packed lunches

Children may bring a packed lunch from home. We ask families to provide a healthy, balanced lunch and to follow the school’s allergy-safety arrangements.

Horsforth Newlaithes is an allergy-aware school. Nuts and shellfish must not be brought onto the school site. Families should also take care to follow any additional safety information communicated by school where this is necessary to protect a pupil with a serious allergy.

Children should not share food with one another.

It is important that the school has accurate, up-to-date information about any allergies, intolerances or medical dietary requirements.
