High-quality teaching and a carefully designed curriculum are at the heart of our school. We build strong foundations in reading, writing and mathematics, while ensuring children encounter rich knowledge, important ideas and memorable experiences across the curriculum. Our teaching is deliberate and informed by a clear understanding of how children learn. We want pupils to think deeply, communicate confidently, remember what they have learned and take pride in doing things well.
We also know that children have one precious childhood. Creativity, friendship, play, performance, music, sport and leadership all matter. Academic excellence and joyful experiences belong together: both help children discover their interests, develop their character and learn to live their one life well.
